There is plenty of parking space near the beach and shopping areas. Unfortunately in Katwijk paid parking and a parking licence system has been introduced.
Are there free public parking spaces for campers (also called recreational vehicle park or caravan park) in Katwijk where overnight stays are allowed?
There are no (free) public parking in Katwijk where you can stay overnight.
You can only overnight with your campervan at one of the local campgrounds.
We come every year to Katwijk. Last summer we were told that the Boulevard will be rebuilt and an underground parking garage being built. Is this true and when does the building?
During the winter of 2013-2014 the coastline of Katwijk is reinforced with a dyke in new, wider dunes. The beach is accessible to visitors this summer. The works will continue, however. In the meantime the construction of the parking garage makes a fascinating spectacle. Do come and have a look!

We come with two coaches (large buses / autocar) to Katwijk. Can you please tell me where the bus parking is?
Large passenger buses can be parked on the parking lot at Boulevard / Sportlaan in Katwijk.
When these places are occupied, you can alternatively park at one of the parking places for buses and trucks in Zeilmakerstraat, Wagenmakerstraat or 's-Gravendijckplein.
