SAR Katwijk 2024
The Katwijk Rescue Brigade organizes a big rescue demonstration. This event, SAR Katwijk, is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) of its kind in the Netherlands. All the 'Search and Rescue' participants show off their skills and knowledge.
In addition to the organizing rescue brigade also the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Coast Guard, KNRM, police, fire and many other organizations participate. Other regular participants include the Belgian Air Component with their Sea King Rescue Helicopter and Bristow Helicopters from Den Helder. SAR Katwijk is characterized by its spectacular program. Lots of action at sea, on the beach and in the air. Visitors can also view the rescue equipment close during the static show.
